After graduating from Indiana Bible College, Douglas began working in the financial services industry – first as an office administrator, then as a financial consultant.  After joining Comprehensive Financial Consultants, Douglas began building long-term relationships with his clients.  Douglas works with a variety of people - young professionals looking at long-term investment planning, pre-retirees and non-profit organizations across Indiana and the Midwest.  Douglas also spends a great deal of time working with retirees by monitoring income planning, tax strategies and estate planning goals.

Douglas is regarded by many in his field as an authority on economics and inflation.  Douglas serves as an adjunct professor through Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) and has been on the technology board for Oppenheimer Funds.  Douglas has spoken to financial consultants and other professionals in the retirement field on philosophies of developing in-depth client partnerships.  He is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and is completing his certification to become a mutual fund analyst through the Wharton School of Finance.  Doug is also completing his work to become an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA).

In addition to his work at Comprehensive Financial Consultants, Douglas was the host of his own radio program – Dollars and Common Sense – which focused on charitable giving, investment ideas and retirement planning with a Christian focus.  After hosting the show for two years, Douglas concluded his radio program and is a regular guest and occasional co-host on Your Money with David Hays.

Education to his clients is one of the most important aspects of Douglas’ relationships.  Douglas has taught financial courses for a variety of groups, including Baxter, Duke Energy, Indiana University Continuing Studies and the Girls Scouts of America.  Douglas has also hosted seminars client seminars on financial and personal topics that impact his clients.
